Arnoush "Java" Javaherian has years of experience in motivating and influencing people. Java is a teacher and coach and has done both for over 20 years.
Java went to college at three prestigious universities: University of Illinois-Champaign, University of Colorado-Boulder, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned three degrees during this time in Kinesiology (bachelors and masters) and secondary teaching as well as coaching. During his college years, Java worked at a summer camp and coached youth football where he made a huge difference in the lives of youth.
For over fifteen years, Java has been teaching and coaching at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL where he has had a profound influence on many children both in and out of the classroom. During his time as a teacher, Java's has received many awards including Most Influential Teacher Award (3 years), Legacy Award (3 years), Coach of the Year (2 years), and WGN Teacher of the Month.
As the Executive Director and Head Coach of the Neuqua Valley Ultimate Frisbee club, Java coached his team to be top four in the nation and the largest program in the nation. In addition, he developed the largest ultimate frisbee overnight camps in the nation called CUT Camps that eventually went international. Java has also developed a coaching academy where he has traveled around the nation helping coaches become better coaches.
In Fall 2022, Java became an adjunct faculty member at the College of DuPage teaching Anatomy and Physiology classes at the college. He developed his own curriculum and works hard at being the best professor he can be. In only his first year as an adjunct professor, Java won the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty award.
During his time at Neuqua Valley High School, Java led character building sessions for his classes and his teams he coached where he helped them become better people. He worked tirelessly on creating a great character building curriculum in which the students looked forward to each week. He influenced the lives of thousands of youth. As a result, he won the WGN Teacher of the Month award (see video in Media and Testimonials page).
In 2019, Java was determined to take his character building outside of the classroom walls he taught in and influence people around the world. Thus he created True You. Through True You, Java is reaching thousands of individuals who are seeking self-improvement through character qualities to improve their lives. This is just the beginning of a great journey!
Java is married with two beautiful daughters and lives in Naperville, IL and is an active member of the community. He lives his life to be a person of integrity.
